Siso Shoe Repair & Alterations

I was looking for a local shoe repair and stumbled upon great reviews for Siso, but I wasn't sure if they were still open bc the most recent review was 2 years ago. (They are!) I dropped off 2 pairs of shoes for sole replacement. They were $20/each and complete within 8 days. This seems to be run by a solo owner and is very much a small local business. I think they take credit card, but prefer cash if you have it. You have to be buzzed in to enter the store and while the store hours say 9-4 on the door, I think it's more like 9-3p so be sure to call ahead if you're unsure. (When I dropped off the shoes, the gentleman asked me to make sure to come before 3p and lol I was in the area to pick up at 3:44p one time and they were closed.) The quality of my repair was great and I would certainly recommend and come back. There's also parking which is a huge plus bc the area has busy street traffic. Be sure to really press on the doorbell to enter, I lightly pressed it twice and the owner didn't hear me.. but eventually he buzzed me in!

Amazing! He did a wonderful job on a purse that I was told was could not be saved by a well known place in NYC! The owner is very personable and reasonably priced. Going back to give him my boots! I'm so excited to have found someone so close to home but with such impeccable attention to detail and workmanship!

I highly recommend Siso's Shoe repair and alterations. My husband had his decades old leather bomber jacket's collar completely restored. I was ready to donate the jacket because of it's peeling collar but my husband took it over to Siso's for a makeover. I was truly astonished when he returned with the jacket, it looked brand new. Siso is a master leather craftsman. He can work magic with any leather goods!
