Dr. Kawut is knowledgeable, caring, and personable. She greatly helped me feel better using several different types of therapies. She also checks in with her patients and actually listens- which is not a given with many doctors these days. Highly recommend her!
Dr. Julie Kawut helped my lower back pain from certain exercises immensely. The pain was practically gone after our first session and in a few weeks I back to my normal self. Highly recommend!
A few years ago, I woke one day with terrible pain in my neck from sleeping on it wrong, and couldn't turn my head. I called my medical insurance and asked for a chiropractor in my town. The first number I called couldn't see me for 3 days. I called Dr. Kawut and she was able to get me in the same day. I've used chiropractors on/off most of my life (40+ years), and I've had good ones and great ones and other ones. Dr Kawut is a great one! She is what I call "old school" meaning she actually touches your neck and back and finds exactly what is off, etc, and then she adjusts it. She doesn't use any gizmos or technology to manipulate your back, but relies on (what I consider) extensive knowledge and hands on experience. No chiropractor can fix any problem in one visit. You'll need multiple visits depending on how bad the problem, and how long you waited to get treatment. I've made the waiting mistake before and I wont repeat that again! Dr Kawut is attentive to scheduling and your progress for how many times, and how often you need to be seen. I currently see her about once a month to help keep things in good shape and pain free. She always welcomes questions. During one visit, I mentioned my shoulder was bothering me, and she examined it and said that I had partially dislocated it (I have a physical job and could have done that any time and not realized it). She did a manipulation and instantly my shoulder was better! I haven't had issues since last year now with my shoulder. I was shocked, as I was wondering if I had done some real damage to it somehow... and was very relieved I hadn't! I've been seeing her more or less regularly for nearly 3 years now, and brought my best friend to see her as well. I'm basically a client for life for her, as long as she stays in practice and I live in New Jersey, she will be my chiropractor. Of course my experience is biased, I've had a great result, and I'm just one client, but I highly recommend you call Dr Kawut if you have neck or back issues and see what she can do for you. She is very friendly and we chat as she works and it's always a pleasant experience, even when I've walked in with pain. If you have never visited a chiropractor before, it's time. Taking care of your back is like getting a yearly physical or an annual dental checkup... we only have one spine, and our lives revolve around it, literally! Dr Kawut is probably the perfect chiropractor for first time visits, as she will explain everything if you need it... or if, like me, you're an old hat, she'll skip it and you can chat about something else. Even if you don't see Dr Kawut, go see SOME chiropractor. You will wish you had gone to see someone sooner... I hope this is helpful and please tell Dr Kawut Ryan sent you! LOL.
