Despite these drawbacks, Retro Fitness provides a decent and functional workout environment with friendly staff and management, making it a great option for those seeking a convenient and affordable gym membership. The gym is described as a "home away from home" with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, where the staff, instructors, and personal trainers strive to create a fun and challenging environment. The classes are varied, and the weights and equipment are in good shape and replaced when needed. Retro Fitness has everything needed to get a great workout, including the option to work with a personal trainer and enjoy tasty shakes after the workout.
I've had nothing but a great experience at this gym ! Retro is like my home away from home and I am so grateful for all the people I've met along the way !! I've never been more motivated to work out before becoming part of the retro family !
This gym is never cleaned. The showers in the men’s locker room have mold all over the shower curtains. The water fountain also has mold ALL OVER IT. DO BETTER. This isn’t a case of “sorry we forgot to clean.” This is poor leadership and never even thought to clean.
Their bathrooms are filthy, machines are so old that the treadmills have FIRST generation iPhone chargers built into them. Not ports, actual chargers for an iPhone made in 2008. The bathroom has a scale that’s broken. Its toilets are so old their finishes are gone. The mats on the floor are worn out. East Windsor Retro is fantastic! The employees are super helpful and the gym is always clean, which to me is the most important thing when it comes to a gym. Great classes and fun atmosphere.
