I had my 1st hair appointment with Aaliyah this month and I was not disappointed, I'm so happy I didn't let the negative reviews stop me from booking or the prices and the prices reflect all that she provides and her time. Aaliyah was professional from beginning to end and explained everything to me thoroughly. I booked a new client package that included the works - ie: silk press, trim/hair shaping and treatments. Aaliyah unlike a lot of stylists trimmed what need to be trimmed and didn't go overboard and I appreciated that, what she trimmed was exactly what I knew that needed to go. I came to this salon after a few failed attempts of getting my natural 4a/4b fine hair texture to become dreadlocs. I knew it was what I wanted to do but I was not well educated on the process with my hair type. Sister Aaliyah was that bridge between the gap for me. She listened to the steps I had tried and understood my end goal and helped me follow through to completion. The salon is always a relaxing environment. I am a person who gets overwhelmed with lots of people and loud noises. So I love the ambiance and peacefulness. I just wanted to take a moment to share about the wonderful experience I had at Potent Transitions hair salon yesterday. It is really great to walk in a shop and have confidence in the person taking care of your hair. From the moment I arrived, that is what I felt. Aaliyah is definitely skilled in taking care of natural hair and very knowledgeable. I knew my hair was damaged when I walked in and didn’t know how it would look when she was done, but I was pleasantly surprised. My hair not only looked beautiful, but healthy.
