I was in a serious bind with my hair this morning. It’s a major heatwave today, and my portable hair dryer kept tripping the circuit breaker in my apartment. To make things more stressful today is my graduation, and my hair wasn’t fully dry. Cue the panic, because without drying, my curls wouldn’t set properly 😩.
I have thick locs that take forever to dry, so I decided to stop by Black Beauty Unisex Salon, hoping they’d let me sit under a dryer and I was fully prepared to pay for the time. But to my surprise and absolute relief, Debbie (the owner) welcomed me and let me use the dryer free of charge.

Debbie the owner is my absolute favorite stylist I have been coming to her since I was a teenager. She has helped me changed from permed hair to natural hair the way she does it. You would think my hair is a perm. It’s a silk press. Love her always. Thank you 🤗🤗😘🙏🏽
