“I recently started to use Bayshore on the recommendation of a few friends. Everyone from reception, to vet techs to Doctors are friendly, warm and caring. My animals get a thorough exam and are treated with respect. I say this because the last vet that I used was afraid of my very mild mannered dog and made me muzzle him before she'd approach him, even though he didn't exhibit any aggressive behavior. And she still didn't give him the exam he should have had. When I brought him to Bayshore I mentioned that they could muzzle him if they thought necessary and they said no need. And last vet was afraid of my cat because she was very vocal as she hates the carrier. Bayshore had no fear of giving her a thorough exam and correctly diagnosing her. Needless to say they are my new vet.“

“While their care for my beloved Beagle Lilly of 16 years deserves 5 stars over the years, their "End of Life" Care was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Quoted from their website, "We understand this is not an easy decision to make and our team will never rush any part of this process". My family's experience was quite the opposite. They tried to RUSH the procedure with NO COMPASSION OR EMPATHY. My Dad brought Lilly in while I was at work, and the Doctor barely even looked at her and told my Dad she needed to "be put down INSTANTLY" and when he told her he would not make that decision without ME there, she told him to just "CALL" Me. (How would you feel if you got a phone call like that? My dog was my world. I rescued her when she was 1 years old. We had a deep bond as she was my furbaby.) He said he would not do that to me, nor did Lilly deserve to be put down without her WHOLE FAMILY there. He walked out with Lilly and the doctor called him the "Devil's Advocate" for not listening her to advice. It was sickening to hear this experience. All they want is money so they can go on vacation. We invested so much in this practice financially, and how they treated us with the, "End of Life" Care is HORRENDOUS. Lilly got the respect she deserved and died peacefully in the care of the SPCA Vets WHO WERE COMPASSIONATE AND LET HER FAMILY be there as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. They were much more patient and compassionate. I will never bring an animal of mine here ever again. Thank you for caring for Lilly for 16 years, but she didn't deserve your negative energy and disrespect. If you want your pet to be treated with dignity, try somewhere else. Namaste.“

“Dr. Heins is a valuable partner in your pet's health. I don't know what I would do without him. He genuinely cares. I have hesitated to write this review because he was a well-kept secret for a short period of time. However, word quickly spread after he opened his practice. Our pets deserve the best, and Dr. Heins ensures that they receive it.“

I bought my cat in for an emergency visit on a Sunday and didn't have to wait too long to see a Dr. Unfortunately I found out some bad news and ended up having to say goodbye to my Franky, but the Dr was very compassionate and let me spend as much time as I needed with him. My puppy had a ruptured gallbladder -- 3 Vets in NY, VERG in Brooklyn, ASPCA In NYC (they are terrible) and Blue Pearl told me to euthanize him -- that his stomach was septic -- he needed emergency surgery but he would probably die even with the surgery.GSVS took Niko in -- did the surgery -- no dramatics about "he is not going to make it anyway" -- he had the surgery -- at the same time they checked his liver which was destroyed by a hack, Dr. Macina At Animal Medical Center in NYC for giving my dog paxil for seasonal allergies (STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT YOU DOG TO BE WELL) .They took my dog off all the unnecessary meds given by VERG for his liver which has recovered and today, 2-3 months later he is acting like a happy, active puppy. I cannot say enough -- the drive is worth it -- I LOVE THIS HOSPITAL.“
