Amazing and such a caring doctor! We were on a college tour with our two teenagers, and a younger daughter's eye got swollen overnight to a point that she couldn't open her eye in the morning and was crying from pain. Our hotel happened to be near Costco where Dr. Scaramia's office is, so we came there at 10 am with a hope to be seen a.s.a.p. He saw our daughter after his first scheduled patient and was so attentive and helpful. He explained the issue, prescribed the medications and asked to come back the next day for a check-up first thing in the morning. Next morning, he said that her eye got better and gave her a couple of contact lenses to wear. Now just four days later, we are back home and saw her regular eye doctor who confirmed that her eye is now completely healthy! We are so grateful to Dr. Scaramia!
Agree with previous reviewer - Dr. Scaramia is great! I used to see him before I decided to go see another Dr to take advantage of my insurance benefits. However I was so disappointed in my new Dr that this year I said screw it, I'll pay to see Dr Scaramia again! So happy I did! Worth the $125 contact lens exam and fitting! He is super nice, takes his time to discuss everything with you and answer all your questions! He never once rushed me and I literally wanted to hug him when I was leaving, but I didn't lol. Although located in the Costco warehouse, you don't need to be a member to visit him, but you do need to be a member if you wish to purchase your contacts or lenses through their optical department. Walked out super pleased and will only see him going forward for all my eye health needs!
Came here again a year later for my annual due to convenience. Pleased to see that he got rid of his receptionist from last year and now has a really nice and attentive one. Dr. Scaramia is fairly attentive and spends time with you, and doesn't want you to feel rushed which is a great thing. That said, it is best to get as early of an appointment as possible (as with any Doctor's office). I was the second appointment of the day and was already running about 10 or so minutes late, which isn't horrible but can easily compound throughout the day.
