Dr. Verna is hands down the best eye doctor I've ever worked with, and I've been wearing glasses since I was about 8 years old.Today, I brought my husband along for his first-ever eye doctor appointment, and we had our three kids with us (ages 1, 2, and 3). From the moment we walked in, the entire staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, which is no small feat when you have three little ones in tow.The staff even gave each of our kids a pair of complimentary sunglasses, which they absolutely loved. Despite my insurance no longer being accepted here, I decided to continue visiting because of how much I love this office. But the biggest reason I keep coming back is the integrity of the doctor.In all my years of visiting eye doctors, I have never encountered a doctor as ethical and honest as the one at this office. Dr. Verna gave me hope when she told me that it's possible for eyes to improve. I've been wearing glasses and contacts since the fourth grade, and every year, my prescription would increase at other offices. Even when I told other doctors that I didn't think an increase was necessary, they would ignore me. The result? Headaches for months on end because the strength was too high.But Dr.Verna listened to me and told me that my eyes had improved, so my prescription needed to be adjusted to a little less than it's been all these years. “I only visited their office twice since new owners took over.Since then they've upgraded to do more then just a normal eye Dr's office. Once for my daughter who had pink eye and for myself where I have multiple issues going on with my eyes.The assistant who took all of my tests did a great job and was able to answer questions about all the different machines they have.The doctor was much more informative, as you would hope, when answering my questions. Also, she took the time to hear about all of my issues even though I probably told her the same thing over a few times.I'm probably going to upgrade to 5 stars after a couple more visits but I can't do it until I have more visits under my belt. “I was very lucky to discover Gallaway Beckett Vision Therapy for my daughter. Before learning about vision therapy, I couldn't understand why she was losing her place while reading and omitting and inserting words. She was unaware of the fact that she was changing what was written because she knew all of the words in isolation. The team there is outstanding and welcomed us from the first day. They are always available to talk about how your child is progressing and give tips. They regularly assess and give updates as well. Even traveling a far distance and completing homework almost every day was worth it. Now my daughter's reading has improved greatly. I am so happy with the change I see! Go see them - you won't be disappointed!“
