Kerr’s Massage and BodyWork Reflexology

“A gem here in Berkeley Heights! My friend told me about Otis and I just finished my first 90-minute massage. It definitely will not be my last. Otis truly is gifted. He worked out so many kinks in my shoulders and lower back. He also attentively listened to my ask (lots of time on my hands, feet and scalp) and did not disappoint. I'm excited to go back again. Thank you, Otis!“

Ambrose Nails Reflexology

“I get pedicures regularly, and generally go to Kim's in Maplewood Village. A few months ago, Kim's made me wait a very long time while taking other patrons first, and I decided to try another place for a change.

I drove to downtown Millburn and walked into Ambrose Salon, who immediately took me. Unlike Kim's, the Ambrose pedicure chairs provided a vibration and consistent water temperature with bubbling water. The pedicure chair offered a rolling massage good for up to 30 minutes, which was very relaxing.

My pedicurist took her time in giving me a regular pedicure ($30), complete with a heel soak bag in oil which was used while she polished my nails. The pedicures I get at Ambrose last me more than 3 weeks, much longer than any other pedicures in the area. I highly recommend them.“

The Riverstone Center Reflexology

“I am a Thai yoga massage specialist and have been looking for a massage therapist in the area for quite some time. I found Jim at Riverstone through a recommendation. Jim has a way of holding space for you that is not distracting or overly forceful. He meets you where you are. His sessions are profound and thorough. I always look forward to my sessions with him at Riverstone.“

He is a fabulous caring teacher and always brings his A game to class. Larry also brings in the best instructors I just took a cupping class with Jim Earley. I can't say enough good about this class it was amazing and Jim was so knowledgeable. If you're looking to become certified in cupping please take this class with Jim. Sakura 樱 Spa Reflexology

“I don’t normally leave reviews but feel I want to about Sakura. The staff was very friendly and the massage I got was very good and very relaxing. Sakura is conveniently located across from the Hyatt where I stayed so it was a simple 2 minute walk to get there. The rooms are small but they make great use of the space and I felt very safe the whole time I was there. I will definitely go back next time I need a relaxing massage.“

“I just moved from NY to NJ and I really didn't have grandiose expectations for how this appointment was going to go but I think that it went well. I got a gel mani-pedi, with blue French on my toes and I got a cute design on the nails. This design wasn't necessarily difficult but it could easily be "messed up" due to it having a lot of details (I added the inspo photo for reference). So I like them but I don't love them, which I kind of expected, only because from afar they look gorgeous but when you look closer the details look a little wonky. The nail tech, Vanessa, did a wonderful job with them with the skills she had and I applaud her for all that she did. She was trying her best and asked me for my opinion on them several times to make sure that they were coming out the way that I wanted. They are beautiful nonetheless. I think all or most of the technicians should learn different techniques for intricate styles, such as this, given if some or most of their customer population liked things like that. I also thought that the price was appropriate for how intricate they were ($60) but what threw me for a loop was how expensive my toes were for just a French ($55). But I'm still happy with how they turned out!

Requested style: The style I requested was rather intricate in details and they did a very good job overall 4/5 stars (80% equivalent) :)

Cleanliness: They were extremely clean with disinfected tools per customer and I even saw a customer ask if their tools were sterilized and if the pedicure bath was clean and fresh. The technician went out of their way to explain what they do and how they do it.

Stylist: Vanessa was the technician who was doing my manicure and she was very sweet and courteous. I'm not sure of the name of the technician who did my toes but she was quiet, still sweet, and courteous though.“

Qitopia Massage Spa Reflexology

“Tried this place out while waiting for an oil change. I have never seen it before. I got a very good and enthusiastic massage from Lily. She used her feet on my lower back and it was incredible. Never had that done before.

I also tried cupping, but I can say this is not for me. It left me with very large bruise looking marks that I find embarrassing, and are taking several days to fade.

I did find that the massage table/linens smelled a bit of old perfumes/body oils.

All in all, would try this spa again, because Lily gave me the most enthusiastic and excellent massage I have ever had for an extremely reasonable price. Way better than massage envy, where I once had a membership.“
