X O Nails

I've been going to X O Nails every two weeks for the past two years since I moved to Kinnelon, and I can't imagine going anywhere else! Sophie, the owner, is incredibly warm and sweet and does an excellent job. I absolutely love getting gel nails here. Her assistant, Maria, does a great job with pedicures, too. Sophie has had her shop here in Butler for more than 20 years. Since it's only Sophia and Maria working here, the salon always has a nice vibe with only two customers at a time. I took a shot with X O Nails when we moved nearby a year ago - and it's become my go-to place ever since! The owner, Sophie, is super nice, as is Maria, the other woman who does nails here. Both women have done my nails in the past and they always come out great. I get a regular mani/pedi and it's less than $30 (without tip). You can't beat that! I like that the salon is cozy and low-key; there's only usually Sophie, Maria, and two clients inside at a time, so with COVID, I feel a lot safer. Also, Sophie is really meticulous about sanitization and cleanliness: she makes everyone wash their hands right when they walk in the door, and wipes down every surface after a client is finished. Both of them wear masks and have plastic shields at the nail stations so there's a barrier between the two of you. They also do waxing here, but I haven't tried it since I do my own waxing at home. But it seems like there's a good number of people who come in for waxing services. Logistics: Appointments are needed, so make sure to call ahead before dropping in. Street parking is available, but during peak business hours you may need to park down the block a bit (I've always found a spot). You won't regret coming here and supporting this small business!
