“Old style barber shop no frills - excellent cut with the right stylist. Kevin is the owner and is meticulous, responsive to what customers want, and fast. However, perhaps his most admired quality is not initiating nor engaging in the idle chatter so many hair stylists do to combat their Boredom or feed their egos. Kevin never loses focus. The other stylists: the younger newer Asian stylist does great job and is equally as focused. As for the rest: the other 40 something male and mature woman stylist should rather be categorized as pseudo-psychologists as their mouths move twice as quick as their hands - and usually delving into some controversial statement or probing question to their held-hostage chair victims. Bring earplugs to avoid being assaulted by their absolute mindless blather.“

“I was looking for a local barber who didn't charge an arm and a leg, but was looking for a little more customer service than the Super Cuts or other franchises. I stubbled upon Nice Time Barbers in Raritan, NJ. I was impressed by their care and service. Their prices are reasonable! And they do a really nice cut. Even had a shave. I have been there 2 time so far and both times received a fantastic cut! The barbers are mostly hispanic speaking, but don't let that disuade you from going in. Rubin is bi-lingual and will translate to the other guys if need be. Give them a try and support some local small business. If you get a shave, don't forget to ask for the "hot towel"!“

“What a GREAT experience! My first time in and quite impressed. Mike did a great job on my cut, very kind and personable and provided me great tips on the right product for my hair. He goes the extra mile for sure. The warm towel treatment was an unexpected surprise and quite nice! I even made my next appointment with him! The shop has a cool vibe also, and greeted very warmly at the door. My only suggestion - and likely a tough one depending on the town of Bernardville - an espresso bar and local craft beer bar would be awesome inside this gem of an establishment! “Cutters in Somerset is a whole different experience. I made an appointment online and had literally 0 wait time. You probably read other reviews about the language barrier but these guys get by. If you know Spanish you'll be good. Nice byproduct if you don't like small talk you probably won't get any.

The price is higher than chain places, but these guys will cut your hair CLEAN. I gave the barber an idea but just let them work, they know mens hair. I'm a bit older too and the respect for the hairline was on point. Walked out a changed man.

Stop disrespecting yourself with a $25 chain cut that's always a bit crooked and head to Cutters and get the clean cut you deserve.“

“Great old school spot to get a haircut. Ermanno gave me a very good high skin fade, he was welcoming and a pleasure to talk to. He was also quick with the haircut so I wasn’t sitting there forever like some barber shops are and he did a good job with the eyebrow trimming. I love the razor finish at the end not a lot of barbers still do that. Overall great experience should be going back regularly“
