Kellum’s Hair Braiding and Weaving

Took my son who is 15 months old to get his hair braided today, it came out so good! Everyone was super nice! Awesome prices and a very comfortable salon, over all it was an extremely pleasant and positive experience! 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend!

I called on a Saturday to see if I could get in before a certain time since I had to go to work later that day and didn’t want to chance running late. There wasn’t an opening for the time requested (I called close to 2 for any openings before 4, so I knew it was a long shot to begin with). However, she was able to accommodate me early the next day and was able to get me out in two hours (waaaayyy less time than I normally take to do my hair). My hair is thick and curly/kinky/coily. The deep conditioning was greatly needed and appreciated as I have not been to a salon in about a year. She did a great job with the two strand twists and my family and coworkers complimented me on the look. Kellum is really down to earth and a very pleasant woman. She understood the characteristic of my hair, knew how to manage it, and made me feel comfortable. The shop is close to Ocean County College and is a reasonable distance for those who live Jackson, Toms River, Lakewood, and Brick.
