Alan and Angel were lifesavers today! I called this morning and Alan helped me right away and got Angel out to me within two hours of calling. I have been going to Curlective for about 7 months now. I decided I was ready to cut it all off and start fresh, I had already been natural for 7 years but I wasn’t taking care of my hair. It needed love. I met Casey-Maia she advised me that I didn’t need to do that. Just be patient and trust the process. Which I did. And it has grown exponentially, and I can finally be proud of my natural coils for the summer! I went to Zee to do my color, and she nailed the color I had in mind, since then. I have gone back to Casey for my my wash and go which is super legit and I can flaunt happily at Curlfest this year ?

I love my braider Melissa!! She’s so sweet and genuine, with real conversations, not forced. If you’re not a talker, like I enjoy silence sometimes, that happens too.
Now let’s get into these braids. I got medium, knotless waist length braids. I love them. As someone who is tender headed, knotless is the only small braid style that is easy on scalp for me, but Melissa makes it even gentler, if you ask. They’re still neat and I won’t slip. She consults with you prior to start braiding. Did I mention how fast she is? Whew, I was in and out, quicker than we estimated.
Booking is super easy. You can do it online and most styles are clearly listed with prices and descriptions. Even the type and color hair you want because she supplies it. The shop is clean.
I will definitely be going back to Melissa to scalp wash with braids and for her other natural hair care services she offers.

Can't recommend this place enough; I've been going to Robert's for my haircuts since moving to Bloomfield over a year ago, and he does a great job every time. Robert himself is very personable and easy to chat with, the location is incredibly convenient and within walking distance for a lot of people (or if not, a very quick drive), the hours and prices are beyond reasonable, and setting up appointments is extremely easy - you can do it online, any time of day (so even when the shop's closed, you can still get your appointment approved as long as the time slot you want is available - perfect if you don't like making phone calls), and see what's open when. I believe you can schedule an appointment pretty far in advance, too. Great place to get your hair cut, great owner.

It's my first time to do french tip gel manicure and I like to result. I've already been here for couple of times few years back and the services is still really good and recommendable. I think the price is reasonable for the quality of the services you'll get. The staff are friendly and they do their best to make friendly conversation with their customer. The place is clean.
Best pedicure in Essex county! I get the new lala pedicure, $45 and includes the most relaxing foot and leg massage. Normally I don’t like my feet rubbed but this is amazing.
As a whole what sets this place apart is the little extra attention to service. For their regular manis they do a paraffin dip and always give you a nice little shoulder rub- not just one of those quick squeeze but a solid minute or 2 of relaxing shoulder work. The massage chairs in the pedicure stations also are relaxing, not all of these chairs are created equal! While I always get the new lala, I’ve heard that they include a hot stone massage with every pedi.
I have been going to 2 bee nails for years and have always had a great experience. I saw Amy inspired pics, and she always pulls through. I have never had lifting on my nails or gel chipping. The place is a little outdated but the service is excellent. There is plenty of parking, which is a bonus nowadays in bloomfield.

I had a good experience here. They were short staffed, with only the hairdresser acting as his main capacity and telephone answerer and cashier, so it slowed the process. I had to wait after my appointment, but when it was my turn, I got great service and a great haircut. There are no posted prices, so I think they are a bit decided on the spot, but it's worth getting all that information before starting. Overall I was satisfied with my experience, but I hope they are able to take on more staff to make the process go along smoother. There is street parking available.

Jelony and her assistant provided facials for a wellness retreat for graduate students of color that I organized. She and her assistant showed up with all of the materials needed and demonstrated warmth and dedication to their craft. The students felt extremely relaxed, at home, and calm in Jelony's presence, and the services provided were top-notch. Everyone walked away with a vibrant GLOW and with more education about skincare. I CANNOT recommend Tom enough. We had a valve issue with our boiler and didn’t have hot water or heat. Friends recommended Tom, we texted him, and he stopped by on his way to an appointment 15 minutes later. He was such a delight. He was honest, incredibly fair priced, and really good at what he does. He fit us in in the afternoon and everything fixed within an hour. We will only be using Tom going forward and can’t wait to recommend him to others.

Anthony along with his apprentice, Dave, figured out my situation and they were able to correct the issue. I now have full hot water pressure where there was none in my kitchen, primary bathroom sinks and especially my primary bathroom shower. The Garner Bros. ARE THE REAL DEAL. I wanted to share my good experience working with Phil (and his son) of Don Cleary's Lock & Glass Inc. I called yesterday and inquired about getting the locks changed on my 3 garage doors. He was able to come out within 24 hours (despite an awful rain storm which messed up his schedule) and even worked in the rain to get the locks replaced. He was honest and upfront about the cost (which was reasonable in my view!). Phil took the time to point out a few things I should be aware of (the tracks weren't positioned right on the garage doors when they were installed, the door arms were short so the lock wasn't locking on one side, etc). He gave me a recommendation on who I could call to fix it for me which I really appreciated. I also really enjoyed chatting with Phil. I learned his company does many different things beyond locks. I am sure I will be calling him again in the near future.

Let me start off by saying the doctors at All Paws actually care. When I called and heard the message that they weren't acceptinf new clients at this time, I was let down. I then recieved a text message from them asking me about whats going on with my dog. They ended up taking me on as a client and got me in the following day! Today I had my first visit for my 6 year old dog who has been dealing with horrible allergies for years. Yesterday the doctor called me and explained the entire process of what we were going to be doing to help my dog get some relief. For years I have paid tons of money with little to no understanding of what was going on and how Maddi (my dog) would benefit both short term and long term. Doctor Peikes and the other doctors at All Paws actually care. Maddi got sick due to the long ride in traffic and they checked up with me after I got home. I recieved medications and a complete understanding of the plans for the future. Maddi is under the best care there so it is worth the hour plus ride to get there. Anyone dealing with a situation like I am talking about knows how it is to have a dog suffer from allergies. I finally feel as if there is a future where she does not have the itchiness and pain she has been dealing with. Thank you!
