675-7 US-1 South, Iselin“I can't say enough great things about Karate USA! Master Kim is a wonderfully positive and motivating teacher. You can tell he loves what he does, and enjoys teaching each child to be the best they can be. He remembers all the kids names (when they are brand new he is remembering them quickly and they are always getting new or prospective students!). He is respectful of the groups, instilling discipline and respect, alongside practicing techniques to level them up with each belt. The staff is great at working with and acknowledging each child; they are just as positive and the overall atmosphere is energetic and fun!
The scheduling is flexible for the days to come in, to note. (They suggest one day in the beginning of the week Mon/Tues and then another day the end of the week Wed/Thur.)
My daughter joined in June, and she has loved going each week. It has helped her focus better in school and given her more confidence in her day to day interactions. I wish I had done it sooner!
I highly recommend Karate USA and Master Kim!“

101 Mt Bethel Rd, Warren“Not sure if this guy is talking about the same school. Children’s classes were pushed back to later time to be more accommodating. A letter was sent home to parents and Coach Pat told the kids about time change few weeks leading up to the date. Uniform could be purchased through school or online. Pat gave the info in what was needed if you wanted to buy online. The Gi has to be purchased through Pat because of school logo just like in any other sport. Cost was comparable to online. Classes started on time as parents are allowed to sit in on class which is niceMy son started about 6 months ago and what a great school. Theirs a class every day of the week for my son at a very reasonable time. Coach/owner Pat is great with the kids setting boundaries being stern but also providing an environment that the kids have fun and learn. My son was very young when he started n knew nothing. Pat still took him in and seeing my sons skill set grow and the confidence Pat instills in him is great to see My son looks forward to going every time.“

This school teaches you forms, defense drills, combinations, sparring, and most of all: confidence. Curriculum is well structured. Black Belt Institute helps you become the best version of yourself.“
“I was looking for a taekwondo academy for my child that felt personal and not like a factory churning out classes without building a relationship between teacher and student. Master Chun’s academy provides that personal atmosphere where you know your child won’t be overlooked. It is perfect for a parent who wants their child to learn TKD, not only for its physical benefits, but also to build discipline and develop character. I can’t say enough good things about Master Chun. He is a great combination of a strong leader who has high expectations for his students and a warm teacher who knows how to meet the students where they are. You won’t regret starting you or your child’s TKD journey with him!“

This karate school (dojo) is the best place to send your kids as the teachers are very knowledgeable, accommodative, and the whole dojo operates like a big family. Kids are also blessed to have direct coaching and mentoring from Shukokai Karate World chief instructor at this karate school“

I was iffy joining at first since MMA was so new to me, but everyone makes you feel very welcomed and included- I’ve been at Hybrid now for 2+ years and absolutely love going. If I could go everyday I would!! Master Mike the main instructor has great energy and is immensely helpful, kind, and encouraging. Him and other instructors push you to be better mentally and physically, and work closely with everyone to make sure they are doing moves correctly. Classes are always so much fun, a great workout, and different every time you go. I highly recommend Hybrid!!“

“It has now been two years since we first met Sensei Darren, and I couldn't be more grateful for the positive impact he's had on my two sons. Sensei Darren exemplifies discipline and integrity – belts are never given but must be truly earned. His emphasis on self-respect and attention to detail, like ensuring belts are tied perfectly, reflects his philosophy that martial arts is not just about physical skills but a way of life. My sons have grown tremendously under his guidance, not only in their martial arts abilities but also in their confidence, respect, and perseverance. I highly recommend Sensei Darren to anyone looking for a mentor who instills life lessons far beyond the dojo.“
