For a spa in a 4-star hotel, Qua was a bit underwhelming. The locker room was small but the female attendant was very friendly. My husband said his massage therapist Julia was incredible and had the best massage of his life. However, my facial was mediocre at best. The aesthetician made me feel rushed and I spent more time with a towel on my face than actually receiving hands-on treatment. The aesthetician was also a bit rough and made me jump every time she touched my face. Most spas now have their team gently touch your shoulder before your face to avoid that jarring feeling.
Massage was phenomenal. Julia was my masseuse. I was very apprehensive because I am used to get a sports deep tissue from my normal male masseuse and was worried that it wouldn’t be the same. I went for a couple specific injuries that needed immediate action and she didn’t disappoint. Very knowledgeable and she had her own style but oh man was she effective. I went in walking with a slight limp and came out upright. Thank you so much Julia you are a life saver!!!! If you’re looking for a real massage and deep tissue she’s the best. I’m sure she’s well versed at any o other type of massage as well.
