“Absolutely the best haircut I've had in years. Shelly gave me a wash and cut that was professional, fun & relaxing. Small studio where men AND women get phenomenal haircuts. The wash was a treat = vibrating seat & a warm towel for my face. I'm a woman but this was pampering beyond anything I've ever experienced. She took her time & listened to exactly what I wanted. “Lived in town over 10 years, never saw this barbershop across from Al's Seafood because it's behind a hedge. Single stylist, Heather, who did a great job. Appointment basis online with appointments usually available the next day, if not later on same day. Does a nice job, $25 a cut. Recommended.“

“I brought my 98 year old grandfather in to get a long overdue haircut and shave. My grandfather is a World War II veteran, and a Korean War veteran, proudly wearing his veteran hat wherever he goes. We were greeted right away with a friendly smile, and Toi was able to fit my grandfather in for an appointment. Toi took his time giving my grandfather a proper shave and cut. He remained patient as my grandfather repeated the same things and just truly made my Grampy feel good. Toi shared stories of his family and life experience, and also his gratitude - to a stranger who was in desperate need of some extra love and kindness. When I was ready to pay, Toi refused our payment. He told us he could not accept our money and again thanked my grandfather for his service. An act of kindness like this always goes a long way, but today it was exceptionally kind. My grandfather lost his son, my uncle, just two days ago and has been truly heartbroken since. The last two days have been filled with such pain and emotion for him. I am forever an advocate of supporting small businesses. Our experience at Slick's was very special and I would recommend them 100x over. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Toi for not only making my grandfather's day, but also mine.“
