Our son has been going to Ocasio’s for about four months and absolutely loves it. All of the instructors are great, he’s learned so much and looks forward to going every class. Absolutely recommend for young beginners!
I received a picture today from Miss Griffin. It was a picture of my son Keegan, assisting Joshu Scatamacchia at Wellness Day at Pollard Elementary in Plaistow. This picture spoke a thousand words for our family. Keegan struggles with medical conditions, mental health challenges and learning disabilities that impact his ability to attend and perform in a variety of settings. In April, we won a free month of tuition as a raffle prize and Keegan began classes at Ocasio's in Plaistow. When I explained Keegan's challenges Michael Anthony Scatamacchia and Emily Griffin did not hesitate, they said they wanted to do their best to help Keegan. I cannot even begin to explain the positive effects this Dojo has had on Keegan and our family. Typically, Keegan would be sitting in the background or be too anxious to participate in an event like Wellness Day. This morning he told me that if Joshu was there he would VOLUNTEER to help him. I received this picture and I cried tears of joy and of relief. Living life and facing the challenges of each day takes courage and some days are easier than others. Thank you Joshu and Miss Griffin for the opportunity to see my son having a moment of courage.
My daughter has been coming here for about a year and it's been totally worth it. Joshua is the best instructor ever and there are lots of activities outside of class which really helps build bonds. Very organized, clean and professional.
