About Community Volunteer Transportation Company
Community Volunteer Transportation Company (CVTC) is a nonprofit organization that provides free rides to residents in New Hampshire’s Monadnock Region. Using volunteer drivers, CVTC helps people who lack transportation due to age, ability, or economic reasons access healthcare, social services, banks, post offices, grocery stores, food pantries, and pharmacies. The service supports residents of many towns, including Keene, Peterborough, Jaffrey, and others. Volunteers find the work rewarding, and passengers appreciate the prompt and helpful service. The office staff is friendly and supportive, making it easy to sign up and volunteer. These rides are especially important in rural areas where public transportation is limited, helping people maintain their physical and mental well-being. Overall, CVTC offers a vital and much-needed service that benefits the community and those who need transportation the most.
Thank you so much for this great service. My ride with Norman was very enjoyable. Without your service I would have had to cancel an important appointment. When I am finally all healed I hope you will allow me to volunteer to be one of your drivers. What a rewarding service this is to help others out. Thank you again. Kathie Croteau
I have thoroughly enjoyed being a volunteer driver with CVTC. I know how important it is for physical and mental well being to have access to transportation, especially when living in a rural area with limited public transportation. My passengers have been delightful! I highly recommend CVTC for those needing transportation, and for those looking to give back to the community a few hours here and there as time permits. The process is quite easy to navigate and the staff is very helpful. A much needed service.
