My daughter had her first professional cut today by the lovely Willette. It took many years for my daughter to feel comfortable with the process of getting a haircut, as she’s on the autism spectrum and has some pretty big sensory struggles. Willette was so kind, gentle, understanding, and patient. She talked her through the entire process, making sure she was comfortable every step of the way. It makes my mama heart so happy to see my daughter get the cut she wanted, with no stress, all because Willette was such a calming presence. Thank you Willette for everything!!

This is a late post, but I just wanted to give Willette a shout out. Last month I visited her salon in Nashua. It had been over 10 years since I had my hair relaxed and the last time I had done so, I was living in the Boston area where there were several options for salons that serve women of color. In addition to the negative impacts of dying and relaxing my hair, I got caught up in the natural hair movement after college. Fast forward 2 kids, a few moves, a few career changes, and a pandemic later, I decided it was time to go back to the ease of maintaining relaxed hair in-between washes. Willette was extremely friendly and professional. Even though we had just met for the first time at my appointment, I felt she was very easy to talk to as if we had been old friends catching up. I would highly recommend her services.
