My diabetic dog goes here and It took a while to get the prescription for his insulin for the first time. It was almost a week from the day of diagnosis. Their treatment plan is working and his condition is improving so they're doing a good job but sometimes it feels like they have other priorities and that my dog's well being isn't really one of them. But as long as my dog is getting his treatment that's all that's important to me and they do get that done.
Honestly I'm have zero complaints nor recommendations for improvement. (Although yes open hours on the weekend would be nice. ) I have gone to them for several years with very sick pups and they were stellar in their care. Compassionate and diligent, the docs listen carefully to concerns. Manage expectations. Try to think of options to increase chances of overcoming difficult diagnoses such as congestive heart failure. My latest visit I do compliment them as i arrive too early for my scheduled appointment by my mistake. And I compliment the doctor for the very thorough visit. Kitty with symptoms that could be a variety of causes. Worked diligently to rule out and to tackle it in a way to minimize stress on my somewhat temperamental kitty. Their staff are always friendly and charming. As for the vets and techs I've found every one of them very helpful and diligent - willing to take the time to talk through concerns and come up with a plan. And if sadly you need to say goodbye to your pet - they do have very good resources for cremation etc and they do a very nice job. I'm glad they are there. Honestly I'd like to give them a bad review but only so I have less competition getting an appointment.
Crossroads Animal Hospital has always been wonderful to my dog Oliver. With all of his care and treatments. They were always kind and compassionate. They diagnosed him correctly and referred him to a specialist when needed. I had to put my beautiful boy down a week ago. Doctor Spadanuta was absolutely wonderful to me through the entire process. She took the time to get me through the entire process of having to euthanize my fur baby. He was the family member I chose. Dr. Spadanuta understood how hard it would be for me to say goodbye and consoled me through the process. The staff was also understanding and compassionate. They took my Oliver out of the car for me and brought us into a calm, quiet room for me to sit with him to say goodbye. There was no rushing me out the door. I want to say thank you to Dr. Spadanuta for your kindness towards my dog Oliver and getting me through this huge loss in my life. In addition, I want to thank the entire staff at Crossroads for being kind, caring and genuine people.
