My child loves training here. Compared to his previous dojo, OKA's approach is more focused on discipline and character development, in addition to the art and sport of karate. All of the instructors are friendly, highly skilled, and great role models.

As someone who started in 6th grade and worked my way up through the ranks, I can say that this dojo has completely changed my life for the better. It's a great way for younger kids to get exercise while still having fun. The leading instructors are always ready to help and have taught me many life lessons over the past four years. I know preside as one of the oldest students at the school and get to teach children of all ages every week. Those that I have learned and taught with have become more like family and I look forward everyday to returning to this dojo. I highly recommend this dojo if you are looking for a fun time for both you and your children.

Older student here. Welcoming. Good camaraderie among teenage students. Axiom “to do no harm†. Yes you push to grow as a student but not to point of injuring self. Respectful of differences in learning styles. There are children with learning differences who are welcomed and supported. Good place to begin the foray into martial arts.
