Master Mark is exceptional and truly knows his stuff! His adult classes are amazing! He is patient and kind. He is able to break the moves down so his students can understand them (even beginners). He meets you where you are at in your ability level. The challenge is just right. I always get a great workout and sometimes don't even realized I am until the next day. I am building new muscle and toning while learning to defend myself. I absolutely love the classes and they are at a good time!Not only do I go, my kiddo goes as well. He knows how to work with my kiddo and how to again, give my kiddo the perfect amount of challenge. He differentiates his instruction perfectly... read full review
Master Mark at Steve DeMasco’s Martial Arts of Keene has been absolutely fantastic to our (just turned) 4 year old! He is so patient and kind and teaches incredible skills that are so important for his age group! All while having so much fun and burning lots of energy. (Win-Win!!) Our son asks everyday if we are going to class and gets so excited to go! Such a great place and we are so excited that we chose to take classes here!
We enrolled our 3yo daughter in private lessons for karate. Though she was really not yet ready, Mark demonstrated incredible patience and perseverance in attempting to get her to participate. He modified his strategy, and he included us (her parents) in her lessons, in order to encourage her to engage. I was very impressed by his energy and enthusiasm, given that he was receiving very little back. Although we ultimately determined she was not yet ready for karate, we look forward to trying again when she is a little bit older.
