We expected they would clean up our overgrown, outdated walkway and patios. What we actually got were two large works of art in stone and landscape.Our job was of a magnitude we did not expect. The crew arrived with a portable tool shed and two pieces of heavy equipment one expects to find at a highway construction site. Our two projects were both inches from the house. While this caused initial alarm, we soon learned that Zack could likely perform surgery with the business end of each piece of machinery. Likewise, Jose takes pains to cut pavers in the same way a jeweler would a precious stone. The end result is a finished job that is not only impressive from a distance; but beautiful close up.In any large landscape and/or irrigation project there are unforeseen obstacles. For some contractors this means a request for supplemental dollars. It is a pleasure to report that despite many unexpected circumstances, Steve Key never asked for any change in the estimated price. This is a company that does much more than they promise in terms of quality--and exactly what they promise as to the cost.Key Landscape works with Martha Shangraw, a superb landscape designer. Her plan received our initial enthusiastic approval, though it is frankly impossible for someone unfamiliar with this kind of work to envision the outcome. On site conditions also meant that Zack and Crew needed to frequently improvise. The end result reflected and improved upon the initial plan.Perhaps above all else, Steve and his entire crew are great people. If four workers are going to spend weeks within ten feet of your living room, it is a huge bonus if you enjoy their company. So it goes without saying that we would enthusiastically recommend Key Landscape & Irrigation for whatever project you need accomplished.
