“I spent weeks looking for photographers. My husband spent about 10 minutes looking, found Michael's work online, and declared he had found our photographer. Despite being depressed that it took my husband 10 minutes to find our photographer after I looked for weeks, almost immediately after looking at Michael's website we knew that we had found our photographer. Michael's work was excellent. Sure, there were a couple of shots that in retrospect I would have liked and there are a few shots where I'm disappointed that there was something in the background that shouldn't have been. However, he perfectly captured the day--from getting ready, to some portraits, to taking shots of the sunset and storm. We really wanted a photographer that wouldn't take over the day and evening. Michael listened to that, and he was a personable fly on the wall all evening. He joked with us during portraits, making them tolerable, and then let the rest of the evening happen organically. He took multiple candids throughout the event that still make me smile every time I look at them. He took a nice mix of black-and-white and color photographs and took some "artsy" photos as well. I would highly recommend Michael Nesmith for events and portraits. He was is a professional, highly talented photographer with a great eye. The wedding package we selected had everything we wanted and was extremely reasonable. He had the photos back to us within a few weeks and even apologized for the delay (although I don't think 2 weeks is a long time to wait).
