“I have a eyeglass benefit from my union. It was time for my wife and I to get new glasses and after doing some research we picked McLoughlin Family Eye Care who was in my plan. The staff were wonderful. There was always a friendly welcome. We received our glasses quickly. I had to go back a couple of times for adjustment (I had 3 pair of glasses) and each time I was taken care of right away. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes. Alison was always there when I went in and she was so helpful. I think the best part was she made me feel like she wanted to be sure I was satisfied. “Our family had our first visit at Coastal Eye last month. Our appointments were thorough. Dr Christy is friendly, knowledgeable and patient. Took her time with exam and getting to know us. Julia at the front desk was polite, friendly and helpful with assisting my husband and daughter with choosing new Eyewear. “I couldn't even remember the last time I had my eyes checked (small biz owner, Mom, you know how it is) and my middle-aged eyes seemed to not be served as well by my inexpensive readers.I found Mayo Family Eye care online, and was pleased to see that they were within a few miles of my house, so I made an appointment. From the moment I entered, everyone was more than friendly. You can tell when people are "Work Friendly." You know? When it's a persona that they put on because they have to, and they're just thinking in their heads "Uggggh, when is the day over?*" Everyone seemed genuinely caring, and like they actually enjoyed doing what they do!Especially Doctor Mayo! The exam was very well done, but she adorably geeked out when showing my what the inside of my eyes looked like. She clearly loves eyes! When I got home, I said to my husband "That woman is in the right line of work. I seriously don't think she could do anything else!"Here's the best part: They didn't upsell me on things I didn't need. There was an issue with my insurance maybe not covering things and they caught me before the exam started and told me about it.Did you catch that. They interceded in a way that could lose them my money. Because...morals? And ethics? What?!I did go through with it, because I hadn't had an eye exam in so long I didn't want to go through the process again with someone else, and I wanted to see.And my glasses! GenX ladies, do you know that Betsey Johnson makes glasses? She does and she has a set of frames that are called Smartypants and check out how cute I am!They gave me the paperwork to submit to my insurance to make them pay, but even if I don't get reimbursed for this it was worth every penny! My accountant did say I'll get it back as a Medical Expense with my taxes, if you're reading this, Mayo Folks.Exeter, this should be where you go for your eye exams. I would call first to make sure they take your insurance. Don't do it from your insurance's web site.
