I colored my hair at home with a new-to-me product, supposedly medium brown with maple highlights, that left my graying hair almost black with deep wine-red highlights. Not at all what I expected or wanted! I needed help fast to get my hair back to its usual color. I called Preference Salon and was booked for an appointment that same week with Barbara. Barbara immediately texted me and asked for more specifics about what I had used and experienced. She asked for pictures of my hair. When I got to the appointment, she examined my hair and gave me two options for fixing the color. I started going to Kristin for manicures about six months ago after a few bad experiences at two different local nail salons. On my first visit I was embarrassed to even show my nails - they were thin, ragged and peeling, a real challenge for any nail tech. Kristin removed my old shellac and applied a new one but recommended I just do regular manicures for a while and give my nails a rest. She worked with me over several months and I'm happy to report that I'm doing shellac's again and my nails look beautiful. Kristin really takes the time to not only give me a beautiful manicure but also works with me to keep healthy nails. Equally important - the tools they use are all sanitized and nail files are never used more than once. I could not be happier with this service. I should add that I've been a client at this salon off and on for 25 years. The entire staff and the owner are all so nice and helpful. It's worth paying a few dollars extra to get a manicure that lasts and looks perfect every time.
