Ty is a versatile and compassionate teacher, who seems to instinctively know when and how much to push his students. He is methodical or improvisational depending on what is needed for the given student. It is a rare teacher that tailors his approach to match his students learning style. This approach fosters an environment in which the most lackluster student (me at times) finds him/herself becoming invested in their own progress. This is the passion that Ty brings to his sessions. It rubs off on others. I have truly looked forward to each lesson, but what's more... One day I looked up and realized I was a better guitarist.
