“I’m not someone to normally write reviews, but I felt so compelled to write this one. I can not recommend Heartland Wood Floors enough. I had a 22 year old red oak wood floor that had gotten very yellow/orange over the years and also a lot of areas that had gotten damaged from water and, an unfortunate case of oven cleaner…a huge dark spot I didn’t think would ever come out. I literally could not believe my eyes when Heartland got done with my floor. I think I was almost speechless. It looks brand new and absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t be happier!
The team was wonderful and so professional. From Dan who did the estimate, Carol who provided me with thorough information on the process, Clayton who called each day to update me and was so kind and explained how the week would go, giving me updates each morning or afternoon. Then there was Dave, who did the majority of work on my floors and did such an INCREDIBLE job!!! And also Josh who helped him! Dave listened to everything I said and he worked so hard, it was such a big floor to sand and he aimed for perfection. When I wanted to see additional colors that might work, he came up with those as well. I couldn’t believe how my floor looked when he got done sanding it - like brand new and the major oil spots and water damage were GONE. There was only one small area near the fridge where the wood was just too far gone, and they did an amazing job replacing it, you would never know.
I ended up going with a natural, clear finish on my red oak floors and it’s so light and softer than before and I love it!
Finally, Terry came out and did an amazing job with the last coat and buffing the floor, and it’s so smooth now and just perfect. The entire process went smooth, so well done from communication, to the quality of work, everything. Oh also - hardly any dust in my house to clean up! Amazing! I am so grateful to them.
