We had to put our dear Bruzer down, and it was terrible. We wanted to do it at home because he weighed in at 130lbs so he was hard to get around. We couldn't find a way to do that so we scheduled to go to OVS. We checked in and they were very understanding with the situation. Dr Jessica and her tech were very sweet and told us step by step what's going to happen. She was very sweet with him too. It was the worst thing I've had to do and to watch him slip away but they took care of him afterwards. With us out of the room, they wrapped him up and placed him into his own cardboard coffin. They were able to put him on a cart so we could get him out to the pickup... read full review

I was traveling through Lexington, NE, with my 2 dogs, while on vacation. During the night, one of my dogs became ill. She has some other health issues that could've caused this sudden illness and she needed to be checked out as soon as possible. I found Overton Vet Service through an internet search and saw that they were highly rated.I got to Overton Vet Service just after they opened @ 8AM. I explained my pets history and what was currently happening and they took me right in. Dr. Jessica listened to all of the details and took my dog to get a couple of x-rays. Awesome awesome awesome!! Dr. John didn't treat me like I was at a fast food restaurant, or offer me a Cushing's test as a"side item". Staff and the environment are a breath of fresh air!! Thank you Overton Vet Services!!!! You do a great job!!!!!
