I grew up on 19th and Irving. I have been getting my hair cut here since the 80s when my Mom would send me on my bike. This is a great place to get a haircut for men. You make an appointment, you come on time, they get you in and out, and away you go. The ladies are all hair artists and conversational experts. I have had to do a walk in a few times, and even then, I did not have to wait very long.
Got off work & my hair was driving me nuts. I wanted to grab a pair of the kiddos' safety scissors & chop a chunk of it off. Ends were totally frayed - just like all us teachers are getting here so close to the end of the year while moving our entire building's contents into boxes, ugh. Decided to try some place new since the salons I've been to previously closed early. Called one, no openings. Called here second. Just had a no show so scheduled me in. I havent had anything done to my hair, no one has touched it in 15 years. Im very protective of my hair and somewhat OCD. But Im going through some extremely personal heartbreaking soul crushing life experiences right now and I needed some change but nothing drastic. I took the leap and made an appointment with my sweet friend MARNITA! I felt an instant connection to her, which is very rare for me. Im not really sure if I needed the highlights or the connection with another female. It ended up being one of the best afternoons I think I've ever had. PLUS, my hair turned out FABULOUS! I'll probably be in for a partial pretty soon
