As a family, we've met with three difference counselors over the past 17 years for a number of different concerns. Some of the things we've sought help for are marriage counseling, working out some anxiety related concerns for one of our boys, and other personal matters related to anxiety and depression.Valley Christian Counseling meets a very important need. They may not have all the answers to every situation, but in reality, expecting that would be setting up both them and us for failure; it just isn’t realistic. I’m so thankful for VCCC and the incredible impact my counselor has had on my life - walking with me through the valleys, rejoicing with me on the mountain tops, and all the while pointing me to Christ. VCCC so beautifully embodies the biblical mandate to “bear each other’s burdens,” to “rejoice with those who rejoice,” and to “mourn with those who mourn.” Yep, you may get that in your friend group or family, but there is something powerful about intentionally working through your thoughts and emotions with a Christ-centered professional. I have no words to state the role VCCC played in getting me through my last year in Fargo/Moorhead after a horrifically traumatic experience in 2016 that spilled into the next year. From the office staff who were always so kind and accommodating to the therapists (I'm convinced I had the best one in the world) I don't know where I'd be without them. I knew it then, but after moving away, my gratitude only grew. Fargo/Mhd is so blessed to have this outstanding facility .... don't ever take it for granted.
