I received offers for lawn services through Yelp with Yadkinville Lawncare in June of 2022. I had Andrew come out to check out the lawn to give a proper quote and he quoted me $50 for my lawn. This is $15 more than I'd paid other services before, but I didn't question it too much with the high gas prices at the time. I had Andrew mow my lawn a total of two times, and stopped asking for services after an inappropriate proposition (I received a text offering me $300 cash for one hour...) text after putting off my lawn for almost 2 weeks after the scheduled time. The lawn looked fine both times it was cut and trimmed, but that's almost worthless with the overall thievery experience.Unfortunately, my card was linked to Square to pay my invoices, which ended up backfiring. I was charged about $400 in various Square transactions through September, October, and November. Again, no services were rendered. I contacted Andrew to figure this out and issue refunds for the charges, and he said he would. However, I didn't receive a penny back. I then tried to handle it with my bank, and wasn't able to rite the loss as they couldn't prove the services weren't given. I called Andrew again, and of course he didn't respond. I'm appalled at the lack of professionalism and amazed that this is somehow considered a business. Yuck.
Our experience with Yadkinville Lawn Care can be described as exceptional. Andrew's quick response, fair price, quality craftsmanship and customer focus, made our project easy to complete. Our project included grading to fix drainage issues, a tumbled brick paver patio (~400 square feet), 30 foot retaining wall with cultured stone facade and 3000 square feet of sod installed. The work all got completed on schedule, in budget and to our complete satisfaction. Andrew was very easy to work with and was quick to offer ideas to improve our project result. I'm happy to recommend Yadkinville Lawn Care for all of your landscaping needs!
Be cautious: Stay away or at least stick to your original quote. Don't add any extra service. Otherwise like me, I had been charged $1.4 per sf for mulch installation. I later found out the normal price range should be $0.2-$0.6. Initially the business owner quoted me $1750 for the entire yard. Then he wanted to charge more saying he underestimated the size (433 sf). He seemed a nice guy so I agreed $1750 to cover 2/3 of the yard. During the work, the business owner again suggested $200 for mulch installation for remaining area. Later when I asked what was in the $200, he told me that the material costed about $50 that covers 200 sf. (I was like, 1/3 of 433 sf should be 143 sf. Is my yard growing in size?) The business owner seems not good at numbers. He tried to defend himself by quoting some online reference price which ironically shows the highest rate for mulch installation labor is $87 even for 200 sf (I was actually charged $200 - $50 = $150 for 143 sf). How funny!
