If I had my way, they wouldn't even receive 1 star. My husband came home with a gapping hole from an emergency surgery and also has a PICC line. Home Care came out 2 times. Their 2nd time out, they told him they were discharging him because there was no one at home to teach to pack his wound when they couldn't come out. That's fine but I work and it's just my husband and myself. All they had to do was let me know this and I could had made arrangements to be home so they could show me. Now my husband is walking around with a huge hole that desperately needs packing and not only that, but who is going to draw the blood from his pick line? Definitely do NOT use this company.

Worst place to work for! Do not fill out an application here! Also nobody cares about you here! If you think the employees have attitudes well it's because we are treated like crap here. Thank the Lord Jesus I don't work there anymore.

03-08-20 As with most people, this visit to New Hanover Regional Medical Center wasn't planned. I had fallen and because I am on a blood thinner it looked a lot worse than it was. Because I was on blood thinners the ambulance couldn't take me to the NHRMC Emergency Department North, which is 4 minutes away, instead they had to take me to the main hospital at 2131 S 17th St. which is 32 minutes away. I was brought into a treatment room at 5:12PM and a doctor saw me a few minutes later and ordered a CAT Scan and X-rays. He said I had only scrapped my head and all the blood was from the thinners. It is now 6:00PM and they haven't even cleaned the wound or the blood in my hair. It is now 6:15PM and I am finally going for the CAT Scan & X-rays. It is 6:30PM back in room and waiting for doctor to get results. 6:35 and the nurse cleaned the blood off my face. 6:45PM The doctor came in and said the CAT Scan & X-rays were all negative. He said that I had a minor concussion and that I was discharged. They never cleaned the wound area with either antiseptic or water. Just told me to wash my head with soap and water when I got home. They offered me no pain medication, even though it hurt to sit and breath. He said to take Tylenol when I got home. Went home washed my hair, drank 12 oz. of Jim Beam Black Bourbon (took the edge off the pain), took NITETIME medicine, and watched a couple of hours of TV. The next day I was reading the AFTER VISIT SUMMARY which said not to drink alcohol or use medicines that make you sleepy, and don't watch TV. It would have been nice if someone had mentioned that before I left the hospital. Based on this visit, I'm giving it a one star when I compare it the Emergency Rooms I've been in in San Diego and Omaha.
