As fate would have it, I stumbled across MoonGlow Massage by chance and I am so so happy I did. I booked the deluxe 90 minute massage which came with essential oils, hot stones, and I added on cupping. Candice was so welcoming and I felt an immediate connection upon meeting her. She is truly magical and talented in the art of massage and healing. Her space is beautiful and right in the heart of Downtown. I was in desperate need of some upper body tension release, found Candice's steal of deal on Groupon and was sold. I'm not sure the current deal but when I booked it it was "One 60-Minute Therapeutic Massage" for $35 i think, which is, by far, the best rate in town. It can be a hit or miss with deals like these and I've definitely had my bad experiences with cheap massages but not at Far and Away. Candice has a packed schedule; I'm pretty sure I got my massage 2-3 weeks after purchasing/booking. She's located in an adorable little business park off Wrightsville Ave. The maps took me to the building right next door but her instructions helped me find the upstairs suite in building 3807. There's plenty of parking in the lot but i'd still arrive a few minutes before your scheduled time. I never really understood the differences between massage styles. It's kind of like cocktails. There's always the general Manhattans and Dirty Martinis, but every bar does it just a little bit different putting their special twist on things. I'm not sure the real difference between Swedish, therapeutic or deep tissue I think the methodology really depends per massage therapist. Candice did a great job finding the balance between deeply rooted knot kneading and making sure I'm not in pain for weeks after the fact. I would call it half Swedish, half therapeutic, and perfect for what I needed. I had such a great experience and would highly recommend Candice's massages. Her place is beautiful with every detail thought out. The oil she used was high quality and didn't leave a stank or uncomfortable filmy presence.
