I kept seeing Blackbird barber popping up. So decided to go for it for my first Asheville haircut!The space was very cool and welcoming! Being trans and nonbinary it can feel intimidating going into new spaces especially getting my haircut. I never once felt rushed. Ash was very approachable and took her time with me. I showed her some pictures that I was going for and not only did she understand the assignment she absolutely CRUSHED it!! I have definitely found my barber here in Asheville!“

What I did not know was this is a cash only shop. There is an ATM onsite, but it does charge a fee. I enjoyed my beard trim and will probably go back as it is close to my house.“

“I came in for a MAJOR haircut. Amber did an amazing job, and was super clear about communication of how the outcome will be. I went from having about 2+ feet of long hair, to a wolfcut shag just above my shoulders. She did an excellent job removing my damaged long hair leaving only my natural. Would recommend.“
