Sunset Salon is a great little salon in Rodanthe. Terese the stylist does a great job cutting both women's and men's hair. It's normally booked out, so call in advance.

I called and left a message asking for a guy's haircut, telling Tere that I was from out of town, I had never been to her salon. She texted quickly and fit me in to her schedule 3 hours later. I arrived early; lucky me. I sat and listened to great island stories and banter with the previous customer; the fun continued with me in the chair. As others have stated, Tere is a skilled professional, and she loves her job. Very personable, she had me laughing the minute I walked in. Great haircut...professional and entertaining, Tere made my day. Very nice and clean salon. 6 Stars out of 5!

The owner is extremely talented in both high fashion cuts and styles and that fit anyone. She is the only stylist in three villages on Hatteras Island. Since moving here from Virginia I have been beyond pleased with her knowledge of color and cuts. Tere always tries to commandant everyone that asks for an appointment . I can and would recommend this salon to anyone. Tere also is a master in both nails and pedicures. The shop is also spotless clean. If I could I would give this shop a 10 star!!!
