These people invented the word professionalism, courtesy, informative, fast service. Seriously. I called them for an issue at my daughters house. They came out next day. The air kept going on, then off for 3 hours, then on again. It was a simple float device getting clogged. They fixed it. The repair person was very nice, knowledgeable, fast, cleaned up after. No problem since. My compressor blew sat night. Sha came out Sunday, tested it, yes blown a/c. $195 evaluation cost on a Sunday. Monday the owner came out for a replacement cost estimate for the whole system. Mine was 17 yrs old. I also called 5 others. ( shhhh.. didn't tell SHa) Four of the others couldn't come out till tues/ wed.. It is the middle of summer and 90 degrees out. One gave me an estimate using the exact same model numbers SHA gave me. They were $5000 more... SAME STUFF. Sha had the product , came the next day, installed the whole system in 6 hours. They also took the evaluation fee $195 off the cost...Cleaned up. No mess. I just received the warranty paperwork and info from the manufacturer. ALREADY filed. SHa did it for us. 12 yr parts and labor... Ill be a lifelong customer & will refer any and all to these great people.... TY Mike & Nancy Troutman

SHA Mechanical (Steves Heating and Air) installed a heat pump for me about 10 years ago. Since the installation, I have needed repairs on the heat pump two times. The first time it was a starter capacitor on the compressor motor and the second time it was a small circuit board in the system. OK, first the compressor motor capacitor. Capacitors are a common failure point in ALL electrical devices. Capacitors fail after a few years of service. It is the nature of the beast. Until more advanced capacitors are developed by scientists and engineers, we will ALL have to live with capacitor failure. Second, the circuit board failure. Electrical components fail for various reasons. Power surge is a common cause. A power surge is initiated by power companies (such as Duke Energy in my area) being place online and taken offline to control power demands. This too is a common cause of electronic component failure. Next, we can blame lightning. We don't even need to discuss lightning. Electrical storms are a super common cause of component failure. Ok, Lets talk about SHA. They serviced my heat pump and installed the capacitor within about 30 minutes after I called. The charge was reasonable. The technician was professional. Now then, the circuit board replacement. The failure occurred in December, within a few days of Christmas. SHA once again immediately came to service my system. The technician checked and found that the circuit board was a KNOWN PROBLEM with this particular heat pump manufacturer. The circuit board was replaced FREE OF CHARGE by SHA and I only had to pay the customer service call fee which was very reasonable compared to other HVAC contractors in the area. Not long after the initial installation of the Heat Pump, I had a problem with my well pump electrical system. SHA is not in the Well Drilling and and Well Pump installation business. But, I didn't know whom else to call. I had called several other companies in the Well Water System Business and they flatly refused to service my system because "THEY DID NOT INSTALL IT." called SHA and they pulled a technician from another installation job and sent him to my home. He quickly diagnosed a bad well pump pressure switch. He went to Lowes, purchased a switch, and installed it. I had been without water all night and in less than one hour after I called SHA my water was back on. Once again, the charges were very reasonable, the technician was cordial and professional. He took the time to explain the problem and the cure and then presented me with a very reasonable bill for the service work. If I ever need a pressure switch again, I can replace it myself because of the SHA technician's explanation and instruction. Would I recommend SHA? ABSOLUTELY. I can HIGHLY recommend SHA. As far as I am concerned, they are the best in the business. I have found that you can trust SHA (Steves Heating and Air) and you can count on SHA Mechanical to be there when you have a problem. SHA mechanical is a company in whIch I have placed my trust. SHA Mechanical has NEVER betrayed that trust. That is rare in this day and age. SHA sells and installs HVAC systems. SHA GIVES you customer service. Good customer service is just as important as the HVAC system you purchased. This is my HONEST critique of SHA. Take it for what it is worth. I am 73 years old. My wife and I sleep better at night knowing SHA is just a phone call away. The only bad thing I can say about SHA is that it is too bad the guys are not Physicians. Steve would be my Cardiologist of choice.
