I hope those that see the reviews understand the heavy job that as one reviewer said “receptionist”. Debbie is not just a receptionist, she’s the time manager, appointment booker, phone call taker, question answerer, medical processor and so much more. With the new HIPPA laws I want to stick with an office that I’m not just a chart number and they really know my name when I call for“stupid” questions. But as Debbie says “there are no stupid questions, might not be a quick answer but no stupid questions”. And then there is Betty. The nurse that really cares. I have been a patient here for years the staff has always been awesome and professional. Thats why I'm doing this review. The other day i was there and 4 girls came in to be seen and one was a minor. When they were given the consent form for their mother to sign they became very rude. There are certain guidelines that have to be followed when it comes to a minor being treated at a medical center. And i read the review her mother put up this woman should be ashamed of herself. First if she was that concerned about her child's well being why wasn't she with her? We are so lucky here at Holden Beach to have such a good facility and people as we have at Holden Beach Med Ctr, from the receptionist Debbie who is always pleasant and helpful getting you in and taking care of billing to Betty, the PA's assistant to Heather Merrow who is the PA, these people are courteous and will listen and do their best to assist everyone. I have been a patient of theirs for a long time and have watched them interacting with the public and they are top notch.
