About Anderson Creek Club
Anderson Creek Club is a lovely destination featuring a great golf course, beautiful grounds, and well-maintained facilities. The course, designed by Davis Love III, offers a challenging layout with rolling sand hills and spectacular views. The staff is friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service from the Pro Shop to the bar. The clubhouse features a variety of activities along with good food and drinks. While the course can get slow during weekends, it remains a popular spot for golf enthusiasts. The gated community provides a safe and secure environment. Reviewers appreciate the practice facilities, layout, and practice greens, making it a great place to visit and play golf. The course has a well-thought-out design with ample variation from hole to hole, encouraging players to consider their next shot. However, some reviewers noted that the women's tee boxes could use improvement. The putting and chipping areas are well maintained, and the grass driving range is a plus. Despite some concerns about the condition of the greens, which have been described as soft and showing more dirt than usual, the layout remains highly praised. Reviewers also mentioned that the bunkers need work, with some being muddy, but the overall amenities, including friendly staff and a full restaurant and bar, contribute to a good experience. The course continues to be regarded as a good value, with hopes that conditions improve seasonally.
Excellent course with a well thought out course design. Ample variation from hole to hole, so you're not just hitting driver and short iron/wedge every hole. The course definitely makes you consider your next shot, which I find a lot of fun.
Well maintained putting/chipping area, grass driving range, very friendly staff, full restaurant and bar, beverage carts, and a great course layout. For the price, one of the better courses in this area.
Tough course for a first time visit. Greens are beyond my ability and three putted too many times. Women's tee boxes could use some work but overall a good course. Staff was very friendly and amenities were more than adequate.
This review is for the golf course, since there isn't a separate entry for it. Course has changed a bit since the last time I played, not for the better unfortunately. Onto the review.
Tee Boxes 3/5 - Since there are a number of shorter par 4s or doglegs that people play into, the tee boxes are rather beat up. You can see efforts to maintain and fill though. The par 3s are just rough though.
Fairways 4/5 - Not sure when the last time we got rain was, but there are a couple low spots that were muddy. Other than that it was pretty alright all around. Not fluffy, but there was grass underneath.
Greens 3/5 - The greens are what I feel have gone downhill....read full review
