“I really like the cut. I was getting a trim , I have a bob cut. My previous hairstylist did not cut my hair like I wanted. It’s a simple cut you would think. so I actually waited 6 months for it to grow out and Shea trimmed it perfect. The cost was a bit of a shock . It’s a simple short hair cut with wash and blow dry. I was charged $79 so make sure to ask , as it says online $56 and up.“

“Tabou and her assistant did an amazing job on my knotless box braids!!! I was extremely nervous since this was my first time getting my hair braided but Tabou made it a comfortable experience.

She allowed me to bring my own synthetic hair since I wanted to complete an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse and shampoo on the hair to remove the alkaline lye coating.

She was transparent and upfront about pricing and the prices were reasonable.

She was flexible when it came to making sure that I choose a style and braid size were manageable for me as a first timer and that would compliment my face structure.

She even made sure to braid the synthetic hair to an appropriate length past my natural hair (which is mid-back length) so that when setting the synthetic hair with hot water, my natural hair wouldn't get burned.

I'm normally very "tender-headed" but when, Tabou and her assistant were braiding, I only experienced mild discomfort. At one point, I almost feel asleep because the environment was also peaceful with soft Nigerian music playing in the background!

I also really appreciated that before she used any product on my hair or scalp, she purposefully showed me each product and allowed me to take pictures and read the ingredients list (just in case I have allergies to any of the products used).

My favorite part about my visit...the results! My braids looked beautiful, neat, clean and professional. It also helped that there were two people working on my braids at once. Total time in the chair only lasted 4 hours and yes it was worth the wait!“

“I first visited Angel in February of 2018. Since then, she’s been doing my hair throughout the year. One thing that has kept me running back to Angel is her knowledge! It’s amazing. It’s made such an impact that I only wash my sons hair with the methods. This is just a quick glimpse at how much Angel has been a positive part of my life since 2018.
