I've been seeing Dr. Polanco and Andrea Kerick for over 3 years and have had a great experience with both of them. It's been a refreshing experience after trying out different endos who were rude, judgmental, or made me uncomfortable. I definitely recommend them. However, the appointments person on the phone has been somewhat rude and you will have to advocate for yourself with him. I also had an experience with a rude blood drawing person in the lab. Overall however this endo has some great resources. I've only had experience with Dr. Polanco and Andrea but they've been great.
I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as an adult, and received suspect care or lack there of at a clinic run by a major hospital system in the area. Feeling very concerned about my treatment at this facility, Dr. Warren was recommended by a well respected PCP I know. Dr. Warren is kind and very knowledgable. I found the appointment schedulers and the front desk staff helpful and polite at this practice. Because Dr. Warren heads this practice and thus could be consulted if needed by others, I would feel very comfortable seeing any provider at this practice. The office is clean and has a positive vibe. I am grateful for Dr. Warren steering me in the right direction after receiving questionable care at another clinic run by a big hospital system.
Let me start by saying that Dr Polanco and Andrea are amazing! They provide high quality care and truly want the best for their patients. I'm in awe every time I'm fortunate enough to see them by how much passion they show in their jobs. Trying to get in touch with somebody on the phone - good luck. I have been charged for a no show appointment twice. Each time, I've tried leaving a voicemail to cancel or reschedule and nobody listened to them or returned my call. Thankfully, they were able to remove the charge given the situation, which was nice, but still. To avoid this situation, I don't know why someone there can't just pick up the phone. I'm not too pleased with the demeanor or professionalism of the front desk staff. Every time I walk in for my appointments, all I'm given is "Name?" No kind of greeting, smile or anything. It almost seems like I'm a problem for them to come in for my appointments, which is why I usually try to just do telehealth unless something comes up where I'm NEEDED to go in office. When leaving, I avoid having to speak with check out by just requesting a follow up visit on the app. I've stopped trying to schedule in office at checkout because I get the same demeanor and unprofessionalism as check in. In conclusion, my providers are amazing, but the office staff is terrible. This is a medical office and it's absurd that NOBODY answers the phone or calls you back. You have to be very lucky to get in contact with someone.
