I broke my glasses on vacation last week and Bob and Gail worked me into their schedule today to basically build a pair of wire-rimmed glasses using parts they had on hand. I wouldn't say the work was cheap but considering they worked me in first thing on a Monday and were able to do this sort of work so quickly, I would say the price was very reasonable. The number of shops in Raleigh who could do this type of work at all is probably few. The number who could do it without having to send off for parts is fewer and I think there may only be one who would and could do a project like this right away for you. I wanted a new pair of glasses that were unique and colorful and I hit the jackpot! Bob and Gail were wonderful to work with and I appreciated their honest opinions to help narrow down my choice! This shop is the epitome of shop local! I will be back! Thank you!

My daughter began wearing glasses at about four years old. Bob and Gail were recommended by her eye specialist to help us help us get balanced glasses despite a unique prescription (high degree of nearsightedness in one eye, no prescription in the other eye) on a tiny little face. Bob wasn't convinced that his first grinding was as good as he could get, so he went to the trouble to redo her lens at no cost to us. Honestly, we never would have known the difference given her age and the fact that the first lens was usable, but not perfect.
