The Filling Station, located on the former site of Jenkins Gas Company in Pollocksville, is a FIVE STAR nonprofit organization targeting the "Education, Nutrition, and Connection" needs of the people in the Jones County region, one of the most economically distressed counties in North Carolina. Founded in 2017, The Filling Station has received local, statewide, and national recognition and support for its innovative and successful programs. When hurricanes and other disasters impact the region, The Filling Station serves as an emergency communications hub and distribution center.
The Filling Station is a wonderful asset for Pollocksville and Jones County. It provides Nutrition, Education and Connection to the people of Jones County. The employees and volunteers are very helpful.
Great little lunch spot and the service was probably the best I have had anywhere. Stopped in this week while I'm town for work, tea never got below half and my food was out in a flash even tho they were packed when I got there!
