I broke my wrist and went to the ER at a hospital in South Hill for x-rays. I was referred to their specialist for surgery. However, he was out of the office for several days. My wife had been happy with her experience with Emerge Ortho (Oxford) physical therapy, so I decided to give them a try the next morning. They performed x-rays and referred me to one of their surgeons, Dr. Takenaga, who operated at the NC Specialty Hospital in Durham. They turned a bad day into a good experience. The surgery was quick, painless, and I was happy with the end result. The PT afterward went well. You can't get all the shots you need you can't get anything for pain you get shots of steroids and your shoulder when it's your neck that hurts it's dumb I have a doctor of Joe don't use him evidently because he don't help the pain and he goes around the bush beats around the bush of how you can can't help

My husband had an appointment at Emerge. He has dementia, the providers were kind and patient with him and answered his questions even though they were not pertinent. They truly do a great job with people who have cognitive challenges…
