Been 2x now and all in all, its a neat place but nothing that I think blows it out of the water. All food was just okay (burger, oysters, salads, pasta, fried chicken sandwich, s'mores dessert even!) and the drinks are good but pricey. The best drink I had was the $18 Vieux Carre but its $18. All of the standard drinks are just okay. I am torn on this one...also you have to pay for membership :(

Wow oh wow! I'm going to have to admit that i'm going to be completely bias in this review given my affinity for whisky and bourbon. You've been warned lol. Stopped by for an early dinner with the Mrs. just before 6pm which felt like the perfect timing. Seems like the crowd starts to flood in around 6:30/7 on Saturdays. After walking in I was pretty much fixated on the library style wall of spirits behind the bar. So many unique bottles that you absolutely won't find anywhere else in Charlotte. If you're into fine spirits, definitely sit at the bar and enjoy the show of the bartenders working their magic. Drinks: - I had a Burbon Bramble (Sweet, refreshing, well balanced) and an Old Fashioned ( Perfectly balanced, just the right amount of punch, ask for Cherries!) I finished the night with a pour of their Kentucky Owl 10yr (Smooth, hints of butterscotch and caramel, not as bitter and some other rye's of its caliber) Food: First we started off with the mussels.... really can't put into words how much flavor they were able to pack into the broth! Chorizo is becoming the new bacon for us, we want it on everything now! (Pro Tip: Ask for more bread so you can enjoy all of the broth!) For our main course, the mrs. order the crab cakes from the specials menu and raved about how good they were. I had their burger (add bacon of course) . I asked for the burger medium rare and it was defintely closer to the medium well side of done-ness, but the taste really helped compensate for that. I really appreciate a place that can season a burger well and doesn't just throw a patty on a bun and call it a day! I can't wait to go back!
