Vacationed this week in the OBX and took the kids here. The girls are in love with their hair tinsel. The boys are proud of their air brushes tattoos. The older girls got henna tattoos and they turned out really good. Definitely recommend.
My mother in law, sister in law and nieces went for braids. Wish I could remember the 2 ladies names who did our hair, we loved them!! they were awesome! (Pretty sure one was the owner). Braids were very neatly done and tight enough to stay in without pulling. Blowing sand on the beach was hard to wash out so sadly I had to take them out the morning of day 3. Washing my hair without messing up the braids was easy, getting the sand that was trapped underneath was a task!. If you love having your hair braided, THIS is the place!
Glad I found this place while looking for a chilly beach day activity. My daughters (8 and 4) loved decorating their sand art. The seahorse was $22 which included 22 shell/sea glass decorative pieces to pick. The heart was $16 which included 16 pieces to decorate with. Reasonably priced for vacation souvenirs. They wrapped them in bubble wrap at pick-up which kept them safe for the drive home.
Tip: Do your sand art and use the hour drying time to visit Jockeys Ridge State Park by walking across the street.
