So, I have to take back an earlier review I left several years ago...CCHC Southern Gastro has been amazing. Yes, I had an earlier bad experience involving insurance, but I did "eat crow" and went back as the providers are awesome. I have not had any other insurance issues since.Dee Cottrell is one of the smartest, kindest, and most amazing people I have ever met. I work in the healthcare field, and can say that you don't find many providers like her. She always listens, never dismisses my symptoms or concerns (even when I make my symptoms worse by worrying!), and always makes me feel valued.As well, the endoscopy center is great! Dee is such a thorough, kind, and professional PA. She takes the time to listen to every problem, addresses them, and tackles with a game plan. She’s a great asset to Southern Gastro and patients.

I had my fist visit with this office today. I was referred by an emergency room doctor from Carteret Medical. My initial appointment setting was smooth. I worked with Shannon to get the appointment set, as well as getting my ER records sent over. Upon arrival, I was checked in with ease. As I was filling out paperwork, I was called back. QUICK! I met with Connie, who was welcoming and checked vitals, went over medical history, etc. I met with Dee Cottrell-PA a few minutes later. Again, all very quick!
