Urban Grind Roofing is the best! I highly recommend Steve and Malcolm. They are professional, knowledgeable, courteous, flexible, and easy to work with. They answered all my questions and guided me through the entire insurance process. They fought for us and got the insurance company to reopen a denied claim. They put the work in to challenge the denial and provided proof to justify external and internal hail damage. With Steve and Malcolm’s assistance and expertise, our claim was overturned and approved! Backstory: We encountered exterior and interior hail damage from a hailstorm in 05/2024. The exterior damage was all over the roof and the interior damage included several leaks to my children’s playroom and our garage. Our home was built in 2002 and the roof was original. We initially went with a different roofing company because it was local, filed the insurance claim, and had the 3rd party adjuster come out. It was an unpleasant experience/interaction between the initial roofing company and the 3rd party adjuster. Our claim was denied with recommendations to make minimal repairs and not address any of the interior damage. The initial roofing company said they would come back to take pictures and work with our insurance company to challenge the claim. However, that never happened. We assumed they did not want to deal with our insurance company to attempt to challenge the denial and provide proof of hail damage, so we contacted another roofing company. The second roofing company came out and confirmed we had hail damage. Once I explained we already had another roofer and a denied claim, we didn’t hear back from the second roofing company. My husband contacted a third roofing company, and the same thing happened again. They were initially very eager to work with us but became hesitant once we told them about the denied claim. I assumed the roofing companies didn’t want to deal with the insurance company. Overall, we were ghosted by three different roofing companies in a matter of months. In 01/2025, Steve and Malcom from Urban Grind Roofing knocked on my door. I answered and they pleasantly introduced themselves. They were going door-to-door offering free roofing estimates. I gave them the rundown of our claim denial and having three roofers not wanting to deal with our insurance company. I assumed they would ditch us like the other roofing companies, but they didn’t. They were more than happy to work with the insurance company to reopen the claim. They walked the entire roof, took exterior and interior pictures, and gathered my insurance/contact information. They communicated effectively with me and the insurance company. The process was so easy, and they answered all my questions. They did their due diligence and got our claim reopened for investigation. Overall, our claim was overturned and approved! I didn’t have to leave the house for any part of the process. Steve and Malcom brought shingle samples to our house which was very convenient. They walked me through the entire process. Urban Grind Roofing was in and out in one day tearing down the old roof and putting up the new roof. They put tarps down and protected our grass, bushes, new paver patio, pool, etc. They didn’t leave any mess behind and fully picked up after themselves. They were in and out in one day repairing the interior damage and left the interior space spotless. You can’t tell those areas ever had water damage! It was an amazing experience from beginning to end with Urban Grind Roofing. Absolutely amazing!! I highly recommend Urban Grind Roofing for all your roofing needs. Ask for Steve and Malcolm!
