I attended the Gentle Flow Candlelight class tonight and it was just what I needed! The staff were friendly and I immediately felt welcome. The instructor, Jasmine, had a soothing voice and was very helpful with reminders to adjust as your body needs. As a large-bodied person with chronic pain, I felt like I was allowed the benefits of yoga without any pressure to hold a pose that wasn't working for my body. I was even treated to a refreshing cool towel on the forehead and a whisper of encouragement during shavasana that made me feel seen and supported. This class is a great way to unwind before a hectic work week begins!

High quality community theatre that is professional quality! I've taken my kids to two productions so far--Charlotte's Web and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. The productions are family friendly. It's a great deal close to home for around $12 a ticket.

The Matthews Community Center was once the first public school in Matthews. After a huge resotration effort, the community center was born...and includes Matthews Playhouse. A very nice setup with comfortable seating with great views of the stage. The prices are quite reasonable and they have some very entertaining shows worth going to see.
