I am a REALTOR® in the Triangle. I have never posted a review about a builder, but I am motivated to post one about Bobby and Sumner Construction as the experience for my Buyer was stellar!!! I wish I could claim having discovered Sumner Homes but my buyer noticed their work. The buyer was shopping for just the right home and one that was built well. They were still in their home they had built 30+ years ago and they knew that quality mattered.Every time my buyer would ask about anything, Bobby would answer - what do you want? Then he would do it. They were by no means perfect, but if something was found to be inconsistent with the written contract, they would correct...read full review

SUMNER CONSTRUCTION WAS AWESOME!!!! OUR HOME HAD BURNED DOWN AND THEY WERE EXTREMELY COMPASSIONATE AS TO OUR SITUATION AND WERE ABLE TO GET US BACK IN A BRAND NEW HOME AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE . WE LOVE THE HOME AND THE WORKMANSHIP APPEARS TO BE EXCELLENT-- WE HAVE BEEN IN HOME ALMOST 2 MONTHS AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE ALL THE EXTRA TOUCHES--I DO NOT KNOW A LOT ABOUT CONSTRUCTION BUT WAS DIRECTED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION WHEN EVER I HAD A QUESTION OR CONCERNHIGHLY RECOMMEND AND IF I EVER HAVE ISSUES , I FEEL CERTAINTHEY WILL STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK . TRUST ME THEY PROBABLY GOT TIRED OF ALL THE QUESTIONS BUT ALWAYS ANSWERED THEMPROMPTLY

Simply put, Pam and I got exactly the home that we wanted, and had a very pleasant experience from start to finish. Everyone at Sumner Construction was helpful and friendly. Bobby, Megan, Sammy and all the subs and suppliers worked to make certain we were satisfied with all their products, workmanship, and the final home. We are very happy, and enjoying both the home and neighborhood.
